Digital Photo Frame Review
I need advice on photo frames please?
I want to buy a digital Photo Frame for my boyfriends birthday but have no idea which makes are good quality.
I have been looking at reviews for kodak ones but people seem dissappointed with the quality. Please help
The Smartpants frames are very good.
One thing to watch out for: the aspect ratio.
Many frames are designed to be wide, like wide TV screens, but most photos are not as wide. For widescreen TV, the ratio is 16:9. For photos, the ratio is either 4:3 or 3:2. This means that if you buy a widescreen frame, you’re going to get a lot of wasted space on the sides (black bars).
Thus, I recommend looking for photo frames with traditional resolutions like 640 x 480 or better, 800×600.
Avoid the 800 x 480 widescreen frames, unless you like that wasted space or cropped off photos. To fill the frame, they have to “zoom in,” which cuts off parts of your image.
